Mastercard partnered with Gwen Stefani (a global superstar with strong connection with Japan) and top local fashion designer Keita Maruyama for Fashion Week Tokyo. A series of videos delivered the different offerings of Priceless Japan. In the videos, Keita’s role was to help Gwen with translation. Closer to the event, Keita secretly invited the Japanese public to submit their ideas on how to surprise Gwen when she came to Japan – what the audience didn’t know was a Priceless Surprise was organised behind-the-scene for a special fan who thought he won the best idea prize. All of the videos were pushed through Mastercard’s Facebook and Youtube channel further amplified with strategic placement on OOH, print, online displays and engagement with key influencers to drive traffic to the Priceless Japan site.
